We named this project after Laplace's Demon — a thought experiment by Pierre-Simon Laplace. The thought goes: if an intelligence could know the position and momentum of every particle in the universe at a single moment, it could calculate the entire future with perfect accuracy. We are not building a demon. But we are building AI that accumulates knowledge relentlessly, remembers everything, and gets better at predicting outcomes in its domain the longer it works. That is the vision: an intelligence that learns, grows, and never forgets.
